Note that there are various road construction projects underway in the Capital District that may affect your travel. Please check online traffic advisories for updates. We suggest 511NY which is a free service of the New York State Department of Transportation.
Directions
Major roads coming into Albany are Interstate 90 from the east or west, and Interstate 87 from the north or south. The boathouse is located under the elevated roadway of Interstate 787 near the intersection of Water Street and North Ferry Street. It has no physical address and there are multiple one way streets, so review your maps and directions carefully. To use Google Maps or your Garmin/GPS to search for directions from your location, use "Albany Corning Preserve".
Parking
Parking for team buses and trailer is at the boat launch parking area under Interstate 787. Parking for spectators and visitors is located in two lots operated by New York State Office of General Services. These lots are free and open on race day, however, stay clear of construction equipment. Volunteers will be on hand to direct cars to parking areas.

- Water Street Lot "C" = small lot bounded by Water Street, Colonie Street and the elevated railroad. Directly across Colonie Street from trailer parking. Enter from either Colonie Street or Water Street. Both streets are one way.
- Water Street Lot "A" = accessed from Erie Boulevard. From intersection of Water Street and Colonie Street, follow Colonie to Erie, turn left on to Erie at the big, ugly white storage building, then go straight into the lot.
