Hiring Coaches – Full-Time & Part-Time

Albany Rowing Center (ARC) is looking for passionate rowing coaches to join our team! We are currently seeking full-time and part-time coaches to support our junior and masters rowing programs, with opportunities for leadership and growth.

About the Role:

Coaches at ARC play a vital role in developing competitive and recreational rowers while helping to maintain our fleet, facilities, and training programs. This is a great opportunity for experienced coaches or former athletes looking to transition into coaching. We offer flexible scheduling and commitment levels to accommodate those balancing other professional or athletic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-the-water coaching for junior and masters rowing programs
  • Support the development of competitive, developmental, and learn-to-row programs
  • Help with regatta planning, logistics, and travel coordination
  • Ensure proper maintenance and use of ARC equipment and facilities
  • Represent ARC at rowing and community events

  • Experience coaching or competing in rowing at the youth, collegiate, or masters level
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a positive and competitive rowing culture
  • Ability to work collaboratively with athletes, coaches, and board members
  • Willingness to assist with program logistics and equipment management

  • Ability and willingness to drive a motorized safety launch
